We are the Skidmore Literary Society! We are a fledgling club on campus and want to provide a public forum for the appreciation of literature. We are fond of, though not directly affiliated with, the Skidmore English Department. We welcome students from all backgrounds and academic departments.
Some of our ideas include: bi-weekly meetings with a set theme, the release of a newsletter on the weeks without meetings, book swaps, informal conversations with professors about their favorite books, and generally creating an active, interactive literary space on campus. Of course, these are just some of our ideas. We are still very much inchoate and are interested in your ideas! So please come to our first meeting next Monday, February 6, in Bolton 103.
